Last week, it finally happened—I hit the wall.
Like many high achievers, I thought I could power through until Thanksgiving and then coast into the end of the year. But my body had other plans.
I was already feeling maxed out before attending the Compass Retreat in Charleston. Despite being in my favorite city, the energy I spent networking for three days left me drained. When I got home, I crashed hard. Exhaustion and brain fog set in so intensely that I wondered if I had COVID (thankfully, no). I even joked that a brain-eating parasite might have permanently zapped my motivation.
After four full days of doing absolutely nothing except binge-watching Designated Survivor, I finally started to feel human again. By Monday, I was back in my routine and finishing the week feeling refreshed.
The Perils of Overachieving
If this scenario sounds familiar, you’re not alone. This isn’t the first time I’ve pushed myself to the brink. As an Enneagram 3, also known as “The Achiever,” I have a habit of operating at full throttle until I hit burnout. Then, I spiral into guilt and shame because, let’s face it—resting doesn’t come naturally to me.
But here’s the thing: no one can sustain that pace without consequences. And yet, many of us try. We juggle businesses, families, and ambitions, ignoring the warning signs until we’re forced to stop.
If this resonates with you, I want you to know there’s another way.
Redefining Success with Jessica Zweig
This week, I released a bonus episode of my private podcast, Buyers, Boundaries, and Balance, featuring the incredible Jessica Zweig. Jessica is a #1 bestselling author, podcast host, and the founder of a multi-7-figure business. Like many of us, she knows what it’s like to hustle hard, but she’s also learned how to scale her business without sacrificing her peace, health, or happiness.
Her story is a powerful reminder that we don’t have to choose between success and alignment.
Here’s one of my favorite takeaways from our conversation:
✨ “You can scale your business without sacrificing yourself. It’s not about working harder; it’s about working smarter and protecting your peace.”
Doesn’t that feel like a breath of fresh air?
Your Sign to Do Things Differently
If you’ve been feeling the pull to do things differently, take this as your sign. Success doesn’t have to come at the cost of your well-being. Whether you’re growing a thriving business or just getting started, Jessica’s insights will leave you inspired to create a path that works for YOU.

How I’m Moving Forward
As we head into the pre-holiday season, I’m reminding myself to slow down and protect my peace. Instead of trying to do it all, I’m focusing on what truly matters and giving myself permission to rest when I need to.
If this sounds like a challenge for you too, I hope you’ll join me in prioritizing balance. Together, we can redefine what success looks like—on our own terms.
Wishing you peace and balance this holiday season ✨
