A few summers ago, I found myself on the edge of burnout—again.
The school year had just ended. My kids were home, my schedule was upside down, and I was running on fumes. I remember sitting at my desk one June morning, staring at my calendar, wondering how I was going to keep my business afloat without missing all the moments I wanted to be present for.
It felt like an impossible choice: be a present mom or a successful business owner.
But what I’ve learned—both through my own mistakes and coaching dozens of high-performing women—is that summer doesn’t have to be a season of choosing. It can be a season of building, of separating yourself from the pack… if you approach it with intention.
Here’s what I wish I knew back then:
Summer is separation season ✨
This is the time of year when most agents go quiet. They post less. Follow up inconsistently. Put their visibility strategy on pause. And by the time fall rolls around, they’re scrambling to catch up and wondering why they feel behind.
But top producers? They don’t disappear. They get intentional. They use June to refocus, reconnect with their audience, and double down on the strategy that moves their business forward.
Here’s what that looks like in practice:
1. Shift From Coasting to Designing
That summer, I realized I had been coasting—not because I didn’t care, but because I didn’t have a clear plan. So I started designing one. I shortened my work blocks, clarified my priorities, and protected time for both business and life. The shift wasn’t easy, but it was everything.
2. Sharpen Your Focus
Instead of trying to do it all, I got ruthless about what actually mattered. A few visibility touchpoints each week. One clear lead follow-up system. A weekly CEO hour to stay on track. When you focus on less, you can show up more powerfully.
3. Stop Doing It Alone
One of the biggest reasons I was burning out was because I was holding it all myself. That summer, I leaned into support—both personally and professionally. Weekly strategy calls, accountability partners, systems that saved me time. I didn’t need to do more; I needed to do less, better.
If any of this sounds familiar—if you’ve been coasting, overwhelmed, or unsure how to shift—I created something to help:

This summer doesn’t have to set you back. It can be the season that separates you—in the best way. Let’s build that together. ✨
